dream of all dreams.
over the last 8 years of my life, I have made meaning of my world by writing poems. around 10 months ago, after a few years of basically not writing poetry at all, I had a spark of an idea.
[alt text: a tweet from me that reads, “it’s been nearly three years since I was regularly writing poetry. Before I ‘deconstructed,’ before my PTSD. I started writing again today and I have some hope that this is a new beginning for me.”]
this was the idea: “If you had to live your life all over again, how might you love yourself differently?”
I started writing. I started collecting poems. many were written in the 10 months after that first poem, others were pulled from the archives of years past. once I had gathered 50 poems, I felt it was complete and submitted it for publication. this spring, it was accepted by Wipf and Stock for publication this fall.
this collection is so dear to my heart and I am so incredibly thrilled to give you a chance to receive a bit of the hope I received while writing it. this is something I have wanted to do ever since I started writing poetry - to share some love and some light through my creative voice.
thank you so much, friends, for your support and your encouragement, in whatever way you have given that to me. you are so meaningful to me.
and dream of all dreams, I am so delighted to share my heartflow with you.
