friends, it makes me so happy to say, finally, that I have wrapped up my second year of seminary.
through two semesters, an August term, a January term, and a summer term, I have taken 11 courses and served in two contextual ministry placements. since august 2022, I have met a new incoming class and said goodbye to a graduating class, learned the fundamentals of two ancient languages, started going by a new name (!!), been elected and served half of a term as vice president of the student body, participated in colloquy and our campus praise and worship team, led a writing retreat, preached two sermons, completed countless pages of my own reading/writing, and submitted my proposal for my summative thesis/capstone project. oh, and I also dyed my hair pink.
again, I am adding a link to a few of my academic projects here, for those of you who are interested in reading them. feel free to peruse and let me know your thoughts. I am proud of this work and I look forward to continuing my studies for one final year here; I am very excited to see what I will have ready to share with you this time next year!
although I am so proud of these accomplishments (and exhausted just wondering how I ever managed to pull them off), I am so much more grateful for the connections I have made here at seminary. the beautiful souls teaching, learning, living, and working here make this a place I have been so happy to call home.
thanks for dropping in and reading! I hope your summer has been very fruitful and that it will continue to be a blessing.
